turning the page

Over the course of your life, there are only a few times when you really "turn the page", leaving behind what you were doing before and starting out on something completely new and different.  Kathy and I turned a page when we joined our two lives, when we started our family, and when we made Lubbock our home.

Now we are about to turn another page together.  We have sold our house and almost all that was in it.  Our possessions have been reduced to the contents of a storage closet filled with rocking chairs, children's toys, wedding dresses, and photographs.

And, we have a new home, the s/v (sailing vessel) Suppose.  It is certainly a lot less spacious than our Lubbock home, but the backyard is spectacular.

It has been a long time since we turned a page and this one is more difficult than any of the others.  But we are very, very excited.
